Trentin Maupin to compete at State Track Meet
read moreTrentin earned the right to compete at State by placing 3rd at the Lincoln Regional on May 21. He will compete against 17 other competitors while trying to throw his best of the year and compete for a medal. Good luck!
Maupin continues to break Shot Put records
read moreTrentin Maupin is now the owner of the Northern Plains League shot put record. On May 14 at the league meet in Tescott, he threw 48' 7" to win the event and set a new league record. Congratulations, Trentin!
Several Long Time Employees Retire
read moreFive employees of USD 399 will be retiring following the school year. Each one has devoted many years to the students, school, and community. They will be missed. Retiring are: Dale Eickhoff (38 years), Cindy Beisner (30 years), Kristi Mettlen (28 years), Rhonda Murphy (25 years), and Talley Hickman (7 years). Thank you and enjoy your well deserved retirement.
Physical Form and Concussion/Head Injury Form for 2026-27 School Year
read morePrior to participating in any athletic practice and/or game, students must have the physical and concussion/head injury forms on file in the school office. These forms were handed out/sent home with next year's 6th-12th grade students. Click on PHYSICAL FORM 2026-27 for a copy if needed. Click on CONCUSSION/HEAD INJURY FORM 2026-27 in case that form is needed.
Summer Moratorium: June 29 - July 5
read more2026 SUMMER MORATORIUM June 29-July 5, 2026, are the dates of the KSHSAA summer moratorium. According to KSHSAA Handbook Rule 9-1-5, there shall be NO school related athletic activities. During this time coaches (licensed teacher coaches and coach aides employed by member schools) shall be prohibited from engaging in any type of activity involving student athletes whether it be practice, training, weightlifting, conditioning, competition or travel. All member school athletic facilities will be closed during this period to school personnel and students grades 7-12. If member school athletic facilities also serve as non-school community recreation facilities, these facilities may remain open during the moratorium so long as no school teams are playing, and no school coaches are coaching the teams/individuals. During this one-week dead period, students may attend camps or competitions but may not do so with their school coaches.

Maupin breaks 49 year old Shot Put record
read moreTrentin Maupin broke a 49 year old track record in the shot put at the Plainville Invitational. The previous mark was 48' 1/2". Maupin threw 49' 6". He still has several meets to increase this mark while trying to qualify for the state meet at the end of the month. Congratulations, Trentin!
Industrial Technology and Agriculture Department at FHSU Tech Fair
read moreSeveral students along with Mr. Broeckelman, Mr. Pruter, and Mrs. Pruter traveled to Hays for the annual FHSU Tech Fair.
