BOYS REPEAT AS STATE CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONS
The Natoma boys came to compete on Saturday, October 31 at Wamego. Their goal from the beginning of the year was to return to State as a team and win another championship. That became a reality as the boys took 1st place with 42 points. Dean Masters and Taitem Zeigler led the group in finishing 10th and 11th respectively. Masters ran a time of 18:12.50 while Zeigler finished in 18:12.73. These two runners were the leading finishers for the Tigers all season. Following for the Tigers were Joey Raat in 19:15.75 (26th), Grady Dickerson in 19:22.17 (29th), James Maupin in 20:12.40 (52nd), and Dylan Pruter in 20:35.76 (60th). There were 92 runners. Zeigler, Raat, and Dickerson saved their best for the last meet as each ran their season best time. The other three runners weren’t far from their best times.
