Lucy Alexander -- Patriot's Pen State winner
Congratulations to Lucy Alexander, the Kansas state winner of the Patriot's pen essay. She was also the Russell VFW Post 6240 winner. Her essay will go to the national level where she will be eligible for cash prizes depending on how she places. She will attend the State VFW banquet and meeting in Junction City this Saturday, January 13, where she will read her state-winning essay.
