Students and Staff Clean Up the City
On Wednesday, May 4th the Natoma Junior High and High School students and staff worked the entire day cleaning up the city. Other community members were also on hand to help with the project co-sponsored by Natoma HS Student Council and Natoma Pride. Workers picked up branches and large metal objects that were left at the curb by city dwellers. Another continuing project was at the baseball field, which is undergoing major renovations for the upcoming season. The city park received a general clean up along with new flowers and benches and continuing efforts on the basketball court. Handicap parking and curb painting was done throughout the city. At the library workers helped out by cleaning and doing other tasks. The Shop on the Corner was spruced up with new paint on the trim of the exterior. Painting was also done at the Pride Park on 2nd street. FFA and 4H members combined efforts to clean along Highway 18. Thank you to all who worked on this worthwhile project to help beautify our city.
