Cross Country Results - Hill City and Stockton
The Natoma Cross Country teams participated in two meets in the past week. On Thursday, September 22, they traveled to Hill City to compete. In a field of 72 boy runners, Dylan Pruter finished in 36th place. Considering the number of runners this was a very good position. Unfortunately, during the race, Taitem Zeigler was among the lead runners but had a minor ankle injury that prevented him from finishing the race. Along the way, teammate, James Maupin made a brief stop to check on Taitem but then completed the event. In the girl’s event, Kayley Chrisler ran to a 9th place finish against 39 other runners. There were some excellent runners on the girl’s side and I felt Kayley did a great job.
Monday, September 26, the Tigers traveled to Webster State Park to compete in the Stockton Invitational. It was a new setting for a meet and a challenging course. Among 35 runners, Taitem Zeigler was 6th place and Dylan Pruter was 11th. Both received medals for their efforts. James Maupin finished in the 25th spot. For the girl’s, Kayley Chrisler was 5th in a field of 22 runners. Each one of the athletes competed very well considering it had different hills and trails to run on.
