Tigers Run to Personal Bests at Lakeside Invite
The Tigers traveled to Downs to compete at the Lakeside Invitational which was also the Northern Plains League meet. Twenty-two schools were in attendance and 106 boys ran in the varsity race. Taitem Zeigler ran to a 5th place finish in 17:44 (which is a personal best). He also finished 5th in the NPL among 41 competitors. In a personal best time of 20:03, Dylan Pruter finished 39th (and 12th) while James Maupin had a season best of 21:03 and was 60th (21st). This a great indication of how strong our league is and how difficult our Regional meet will be as the top 5 here will all be at Leonardville on Saturday, October 22. Taitem set a great time and will be working hard to try to return to State for the second year in a row. Dylan and James finished up their high school careers at this meet and will not be running at Regionals. Kayley Chrisler was not a competitor at this meet but will be ready for the Regional meet.
